EkiYou® is a digital therapy acting as a bolus assistant that allows adult patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, treated with an insulin pen in a basal/bolus regimen, to calculate a personalized insulin dose based on:
- Blood glucose levels
- On-board insulin
- Carbohydrate ratios and correction factor
- Food, thanks to a food database based on CIQUAL and containing over 400,000 foods verified according to a defined process. To simplify the choice of quantities, functional tools such as the quantification assistant (for using appropriate units for the food) and visual indicators (to visualize the quantity of food in accordance with the size of the dish) are available.
- Physical activity
EkiYou® can be connected to Dexcom and Freestyle Libre blood glucose meters (CGMs) to retrieve the patient's blood glucose values for display on the home screen graph*.
EkiYou® is a made-in-France solution, created in partnership with diabetologists and endocrinologists, and a community of over 2,000 patients.

EkiYou® can be used on all iOS devices with iOS 12 or higher, and on Android devices with Android 5.0 or higher.

EkiYou® has been designed to facilitate functional insulin therapy in terms of carbohydrate counting and bolus calculation.
When setting up EkiYou®, the patient must enter his correction factor, carbohydrate ratios and basal insulin dose. For the correction factor and carbohydrate ratios, a calculation aid is provided in the application.
Once the application has been set up, the patient can calculate a bolus by following these steps:
- The patient enters his meal by selecting foods from the +400,000 foods contained in the database, which is regularly updated.
- The patient can add a physical activity, selected from a wide range of choices. The duration and intensity of the physical activity will also be taken into account in the calculation.
- Finally, the patient can enter his blood glucose level.
Based on all this information and the active insulin, EkiYou® will recommend a safe, personalized bolus insulin dose to the patient.

To help patients, EkiYou Carbs offers a wide range of features:
EkiYou Carbs allows patients to add a meal from a food database containing over 200,000 foods.
EkiYou Carbs allows patients to scan the barcode of commercially available foods.
EkiYou Carbs simplifies the choice of quantities, with functional tools such as the quantification assistant for reasoning with appropriate units for each food, and visual indicators for visualizing the quantity of food according to the size of the dish.
EkiYou Carbs enables patients to export their diary to obtain a complete food record for the last 7, 14 or 30 days.
EkiYou Carbs is a nutrition information mobile application that has been designed with features to facilitate the carb counting routine.
EkiYou Carbs contains a verified food database based on CIQUAL, containing over 200,000 verified foods. This makes it easy for the patient to enter his meal and obtain the amount of carbohydrates contained in it within seconds.
EkiYou Carbs includes features to simplify carbohydrate quantification.
The quantification assistant allows the patient to use appropriate units according to the food chosen: number of spoons, portions, plate size, or grams, to avoid having to weigh the food.
Visual indicators* help to identify the quantity of food in relation to the size of the dish.
Adding foods or whole meals as favorites allows patient to integrate daily eating habits, saving time for future carbohydrate calculations.
